Tyson Chandler is in his first year as the Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach at USC Upstate. He will assist in all phases of the Performance Center.

Chandler graduated from Upstate in May of 2012 with a bachelor's degree in Exercise and Sport Science. While an undergraduate student, he was a student intern in the athletic department's performance center and also worked in Upstate's Wellness Center.

A native of Duncan, S.C., Chandler graduated from Byrnes High School where he studeied under strength and conditioning coach Mike Srock during the Rebels' four consecutive state football championships from 2001-2005.

Chandler currently lives in Chesnee, S.C.
