Spartanburg, S.C. - The USC Upstate Athletics Department has changed its format for this year's auction from a live event in May to a silent auction on April 29 and an online auction starting on May 1 and lasting for the next month.
The silent auction will begin at 11:00 a.m. and will proceed until 7:00 p.m. on April 29 in the lobby of the Hodge Center. Food provided by Papa John's and Firehouse Subs and drinks will be available for those participating in the auction. In addition, Upstate Athletics will hold an online auction beginning on May 1 and running until the end of May with even more items available for bid.
Upstate Athletics will continue in its proud tradition of offering the opportunity for patrons to bid on exciting silent auction items while assisting the budgets of our athletic programs and the administration as Upstate competes on the Division I level. The Athletics Benefit Auction is designed to supplement the budgets of the athletic teams and administration to assist the coaches in offsetting expenditures in running their programs in areas such as scholarships, team travel, equipment and other expenditures.
All proceeds from the auction go directly into the foundation account budgets for the individual programs and the administration. Simply put, if someone buys an auction item obtained from a particular program, men's soccer for example, that program will receive all proceeds from the purchase of that item.
Don't miss out on your opportunity to purchase exciting auction items. We will have everything from sports memorabilia, vacations, golf outings and more!
