Spartans Prepare to Face Wofford, Quinnipiac

Spartanburg, S.C. – The USC Upstate baseball team will play four games in as many days as the Spartans make the trip across town to face Wofford on Thursday before returning to Harley Park on Friday for a three-game series against Quinnipiac.

Thursday's game is scheduled to start at 5 p.m. while Friday's first pitch is at 6 p.m. The Spartans and Bobcats will play on Saturday and Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. and 1 p.m. respectively.

Upstate and Wofford were originally scheduled to play on Wednesday but the game was pushed back a day due to weather. Upstate won the first meeting between the schools 14-10 at Harley Park on March 5.

Upstate is 9-9 following a 14-5 victory over Monmouth on Saturday. The Spartans have won five of their last six games.

Wofford is 6-10 after splitting a doubleheader on Saturday against La Salle and Monmouth.

Quinnipiac is 6-8 following a 5-2 against Gardner-Webb on Tuesday. The Bobcats will play at North Carolina A&T on Wednesday before heading to Spartanburg.

Upstate remains at Harley Park next week with weekday games against Charleston Southern and Presbyterian College.
