Spartanburg, S.C. – A total of 34 home games and a visit from 2017 NCAA Super Regional qualifier Kentucky highlight the 2018 USC Upstate baseball schedule released by head coach Matt Fincher this morning. Including Kentucky, the Spartans will face three schools that qualified for the NCAA Tournament in 2017.
"I feel we have put together a very good schedule for the team," Fincher said. "We will play a number of excellent out of region opponents and when combined with the ASUN schedule our spring should prove very challenging."
Of the 34 home games, the Spartans will play three against Power 5 schools. After opening the season against Dayton at Cleveland S. Harley Park on Feb. 16, the Spartans host Kentucky in a doubleheader on Feb. 17 before wrapping up the opening weekend against Fordham.
