SPARTANBURG, S.C. – After helping the USC Upstate men's basketball team earn a pair of wins in Texas over the weekend, Ricardo Glenn (Augusta, Ga.) has been named the Atlantic Sun's Player of the Week, the conference office in Macon, Ga., announced today.
Glenn had a strong showing at the Texas-Pan American Tip-Off Classic. The 6-8 forward scored 11 points in the first-half and finished with 15 points in Upstate's 70-66 victory over UTPA Friday night. Against the Broncs, Glenn sank a career-high six field goals (eight attempts).
The redshirt sophomore tallied eight points in the Spartans' five-point loss to Toledo (Saturday), before setting a pair of career-highs in the finale against Texas State. On Sunday, Glenn scored a career-best 19 points after setting a new career mark with eight made field goals.
Glenn shot 69.6% from the floor during the three-day event and finished with averages of 14.0 points and 4.0 rebounds per contest.
Glenn currently ranks as the best shooter in the A-Sun (67.6%) and is 15th in scoring (11.8 ppg).
