Spartanburg, S.C. – The USC Upstate men's soccer team returns to the friendly confines of County University Soccer Stadium this weekend for a pair of matches against A-Sun foes Stetson and Florida Gulf Coast Friday and Sunday.
Upstate (0-6-1, 0-1-1) will look to use its home field advantage when it hosts Stetson Friday night at 7:00 p.m. and Florida Gulf Coast in a 1:00 p.m. battle on Sunday in a match that has been moved up an hour to assist FGCU with its travel plans. The Spartans have not played at home since Sept. 18 in a match against crosstown rival Wofford.
FGCU is tied atop the A-Sun standings with ETSU, its opponent on Friday night, with six points following two wins to begin conference play. The Eagles enter the weekend with a 4-5-1 overall record. Stetson comes into Friday's match at Upstate with a 1-7-2 overall record and an 0-2-0 mark in the A-Sun. Both Upstate and Stetson will look to secure their first league win of the season.
