Brackets Set for USC Upstate Fall Classic

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Less than 24 hours before the USC Upstate men's tennis team will take the court to open its fall season, the brackets for the 2012 USC Upstate Classic have been released head coach Dr. Oliver Trittenwien announced on Thursday afternoon.

The singles draw features 29 individuals, including four USC Upstate players. Jamie Yates, ranked eighth in the weekend classic, will battle Citadel's Justin Wycoff in the opening round, while Ramon Simonetti will go head-to-head with Wofford's Harrison Smith on Friday afternoon.

Yvon Haessig will take on Wofford's Thomas Fanjoy in the opening round, and Jacob Darling is matched with the Citadel's Matthew Darling on Friday afternoon.

The doubles draw consists of 15 teams, including a pair of squads from USC Upstate. Yates and Darling and will take on the Wofford duo of Drew Superstein and Tom Wood, while Haessig and Simonetti will battle Wofford's Smith and David Sklar to open the weekend.

Every match of the 2012 USC Upstate Fall Classic will take place at the USC Upstate Tennis Complex.
