Complete Game Notes
SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Having won games on back-to-back days, the USC Upstate baseball team will take the field on Thursday looking for its third win in as many days when Charleston Southern heads to Harley Park for a 6 p.m. game. The game against the Buccaneers is a makeup of one from March 3 that was canceled due to inclement weather.
Upstate has posted impressive wins on Tuesday and Wednesday, beating crosstown rival Wofford and The Citadel while giving up just five runs thanks to some great pitching performances. The Spartans will look for another great pitching performance from freshman Austin Moyer, who tossed seven shutout innings against N.C. A&T earlier this year, but will face a stiff test in the Buccaneers, who are hitting .295 as a team with 49 homers. The Spartan bats will look to match the Bucs, as the Spartans have pounded out 28 hits in the last two games.

Senior Phillip Morgan is on a Division I-era record 16-game hitting streak. In that time, he is hitting .456 (31-for-68) with eight doubles, 11 runs and 17 RBI. Morgan's hitting streak is the longest since Bret Hansen hit in 17 straight from March 17 to April 14, 2007.

In his last 15 games, junior Ryan Wilkins has raised his batting average from .077 to .304 by going 20-for-56 (.357) with 17 runs and 11 RBI. Wilkins is currently tied for fifth in the A-Sun with three triples.
