SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The USC Upstate women's tennis team fell to Coastal Carolina, 7-0, on Saturday morning at the Upstate Tennis Complex.

Coastal Carolina won its fifth straight match to improve to 5-1, while Upstate falls to 0-7.

Karen Martinez fell at singles number one, 3-6, 3-6, after putting up a fight against Lexi Bolesky.

Ana-Sofia Camberos was defeated by Mikaela Kristofersson in straight sets by scores of 5-7, 4-6.

The Spartans will open conference play on Thursday morning when they travel to DeLand, Fla., to battle the Stetson Hatters.
