Tyler Weyenberg led off the game with a single, advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt and scored on an Upstate error to give the Blue Hose a 1-0 lead in the first. Presbyterian took advantage of a leadoff walk to push a run across in the seventh. Glen Casaceli reached on a walk before stealing second base. After a sacrifice bunt pushed Casaceli to third, Weston Jackson brought Casaceli home on a groundout.

The Spartans scored two runs in the eighth inning to extend their lead to 5-2. Upstate loaded the bases without a hit thanks to two walks and a hit batter. Jordan Ford extended his hitting streak to 13 games with a two-run single but the Spartans stranded two runners in scoring position as a groundout and strikeout ended the inning.

Presbyterian started the ninth inning with an infield single followed by a walk. Cletis Avery drove in a run on a single before a two-run double by Jackson tied the game. A sacrifice bunt advanced Jackson to third before a Jacob Midkiff sacrifice fly brought home the winning run.
