Spartanburg, S.C. – USC Upstate and Gardner-Webb combined for 41 shots but neither team could find the back of the net as the Spartans and Runnin' Bulldogs finished at a 0-0 stalemate on Sunday evening at County University Stadium.

- In the first overtime period, a shot by Gardner-Webb's Justine Ibarra was tipped by Bailey, hit the crossbar and bounced out in front of the goal before it was smothered by Bailey. An Upstate foul with four seconds left gave G-W a free kick from about 25 yards out but the shot went wide.
- Arey hit the right post with just over six minutes to play in the second overtime. Tyson had perhaps Upstate's best chance of the night as she fired a shot from the left side but hit the bottom portion of the crossbar inside of four minutes to play.
