Charleston, S.C. – The USC Upstate women's tennis team lost its first road match of the season 7-0 at College of Charleston on Friday afternoon.

College of Charleston improves to 1-1 while Upstate drops to 0-2.

The Cougars clinched the doubles point following wins at the second and third doubles courts and would win all three doubles matches. College of Charleston claimed all six singles matches, with Filippa Ericson dropping a hard-fought match at No. 1 singles, 1-6, 6-4, 10-6.

Upstate returns to action tomorrow morning, facing Coastal Carolina at 11 a.m.
