Zarama Claims Singles Victory against College of Charleston

Spartanburg, S.C. – Vale Zarama earned her third singles win of the season in USC Upstate's 6-1 loss to College of Charleston on Friday afternoon at the USC Upstate Tennis Complex.

College of Charleston improves to 7-2 while USC Upstate falls to 0-7.

Zarama defeated Rachel McNeely 6-4, 6-4 at #3 singles. At #2 singles, Noelia Acuna dropped a hard-fought 1-6, 6-4, 10-6 contest to Christi Woodson.

The Cougars claimed the doubles point with wins at #2 and #3 doubles. Zarama and Carol Sigaki were tied 5-5 with Anastasia Palaska and Woodson at #1 doubles when the point was clinched.
