UPSTATE – The Spartans will be looking to notch a road win for the first time this season.  After starting the year 3-1, Upstate has dropped the last two road contests against Jacksonville and nationally ranked South Carolina. They dropped the other road contest to East Carolina on Nov. 8.  The Spartans will look to reverse a trend of the last two games by eliminating turnovers, having committed 35 and 24 in the previous two road games respectively. Senior Riley Popplewell leads the attack on the glass, averaging 6.7 rebounds per game.

GEORGIA – The Lady Bulldogs are coming off a 63-58 loss to Villanova on Sunday due in large part to going 1-for-20 behind the 3-point arc and Villanova connecting on 9 of 22 attempts from long distance. In the Bulldogs other loss this season to Georgia Tech, they also made only 1 3-point basket. Jenna Staiti led the 'Dogs with 17 and Kaila Hubbard added 10 points.  The Bulldogs are led in scoring this season by Gabby Connally (14.8 ppg), Staiti (12.4 ppg), and Maya Caldwell (10.4 ppg).
 
Ones to watch
UPSTATE – Brianna Lewis leads the Spartans with 14 points per game and is second on the team in minutes played.

GEORGIA – Jenna Staiti, in addition to being the Bulldogs leading scorer, also leads in rebounds at 8.8 per game.

Notes
Tonight's matchup is the first between the two programs.
Georgia is wrapping up a six-game season opening homestand tonight.
Upstate will have 17 days off before opening a three-game homestand December 14.
