HIGH POINT, N.C. – The USC Upstate men's soccer team fell 3-2 on Wednesday night at Vert Stadium to High Point University.
High Point's Josh Baker broke the scoreless tie in the sixth minute of action. Baker received a pass from Jordan Lonchar and the Panthers held a 1-0 lead for the majority of the first half. In the 38
th minute of action
Aidan Hill hit the equalizing goal and got the Spartan offense on the board.
After assisting on the first goal of the night for the Spartans,
Pol Monells scored a goal of his own in the 62
nd minute. Monells goal gave the Spartans a 2-1 advantage midway through the second half. Moments later Ilias Kosmidis scored a goal to tie the game at 2-2 for High Point. In the 72
nd minute of action Ryan Inman scored the game winning goal to give the Panthers the victory.
