UPSTATE – In an 83-47 loss to Charlotte on Saturday afternoon the Spartans were led in scoring by sophomore guard Bryson Mozone. The Palmetto State native ended the game with a team high 9 points in 24 minutes of action. Tommy Bruner added 8 points off the bench, while Nevin Zink recorded six rebounds to lead Upstate on the glass.

Eastern Kentucky – Is coming off a 65-51 loss to Cleveland State University in the Battle for the Capital Tournament. Jomaru Brown led the team with 15 points in the game and Ty Taylor added 11 points in the loss. Darius Hicks controlled the boards with a team high 15 rebounds. The Colonels ended the tournament going 1-2 with a win over Alice Lloyd College (Ky.).

Ones to watch
UPSTATE – Everette Hammond leads the Spartans with 11.0 points per game this season. Bryson Mozone leads in rebounds at 5.1 per game and is second on the team in scoring at 9.8 points per game. Dalvin White leads the team in total assists with 35 and ranks 4^th in the Big South in assists per game (4.4).  

Eastern Kentucky – Jomaru Brown leads the team with 19.3 points per game this season. Ty Taylor is second on the team in points with 12.6 points per game. Darius Hicks leads the team in rebounds with 8.6 boards per game and Russ Cruickshank has registered 22 assists on the season for Eastern Kentucky.
