Series History
USC Upstate and Furman will meet for just the fourth time in program history on Saturday afternoon. The Paladins have won all three meetings to this point, after an 84-72 victory over the Spartans a season ago. This is just the second time the Spartans will be venturing down I-85 to play Furman, with last year being their first meeting inside Timmons Arena.

Upstate – Junior forward
Bryson Mozone (North Augusta, S.C.) led the Spartans with 17 points against Southern Wesleyan in the season opener.
Everette Hammond (Silver Springs, Md.) finished second on the team with 13 points and led the team with 3 steals in the contest.
Dalvin White (Norcross, Ga.) finished with 10 points and a team best 6 assists. Freshman
Quentin Hodge (Sumter, S.C.) had 10 points off the bench in his first collegiate game.

Furman – Preseason All-Conference selections Clay Mounce, Mike Bothwell and Garrett Hien did not disappoint in the Paladins opening day win against Tusculum. Mounce collected a 23 point, 10 rebound double-double in the season opener. Bothwell contributed 20 points and 7 rebounds, while Hien added 17 points off the bench.
