Series History
This is the sixth all-time meeting between USC Upstate and Hampton University. The Spartans hold a 3-2 advantage in the series after their home win earlier in the season over the Pirates.
Everette Hammond and
Tommy Bruner stepped up as Hammond scored 20-points and Bruner scored 16-points in the win for USC Upstate.

UPSTATE – In their final home game of the season the Spartans set a new school record with 16-made three-pointers against Winthrop. Despite the offensive outburst the Spartans fell 90-82 to the Eagles, both Bruner and
Bryson Mozone ended the contest with 13-points to lead the USC Upstate offense.
Hampton – The Pirates are coming off an 81-78 loss to Radford on Thursday evening. Ben Stanley led the team with 28-points, Jermaine Marrow added 27-points and Davion Warren contributed 18-points to round out the double-digit scorers for Hampton.
Ones to watch
UPSTATE –
Everette Hammond and
Tommy Bruner are the top scoring options for the Spartans this season. Bruner passed Hammond for the team lead in total points on Thursday night against Winthrop.
Bryson Mozone and
Nevin Zink have had a pair of quality outings over the past few games to supplement the scoring of Hammond and Bruner.
Hampton – Jermaine Marrow is averaging 24-points this season and Ben Stanley averages 22.4 points per contest. Davion Warren is the only other scoring contributing double-digits this season with a 10.4 average per game.
