
USC Upstate Athletics spotlights four alumni during 2020 #NursesWeek

In conjunction with International Nurses day on May 12, USC Upstate athletics, in partnership with the USC Upstate Mary Black School of Nursing, honored four student-athletes who are now working in the nursing profession. Here is a look at the four Spartan Spotlights:

Francis Gyau was a member of the men's soccer team and after earning his bachelor's degree in psychology in 2016, and graduated from nursing school in 2018. He is now on the COVID-19 frontlines at Mercy Health in Fairfield, Ohio. Read more about Francis here: bit.ly/3dG532J

Samantha (Seelinger) DeMartino played women's soccer and graduated in 2015. She now works at Duke Raleigh Hospital and has recently completed her family nurse practitioner program. Samantha's full feature is available here: bit.ly/3dIEpGK
