Series History
Meeting for the first time since ETSU exited the ASUN following the 2013-14 season, former ASUN foes USC Upstate and ETSU are meeting for the 15^th time in the Spartans' Division I era (2007-pres.) Thursday evening. Overall, the Buccaneers lead the all-time series 8-6, leading in games played in Johnson City 5-2. Despite the ETSU advantage in the series, Upstate has captured each of the past five meetings, including the last meeting on February 28, 2014. Also of note, Thursday's game marks the first in the series to be played at Freedom Hall.

Players to Watch
Upstate: Leading Upstate with 18 points Monday against St. Andrews, senior forward Bryson Mozone has scored in double-figures in each of the Spartans' first three games of the season—his longest streak as the team's leading scorer in his career. He enters the ETSU contest leading the Spartans and ranking fourth in the Big South as he averages 19.0 points per game this season.
 
ETSU: Averaging 13.5 points per game this season, David Sloan represents ETSU's leading scorer while also leading the team in assists this season. He tallied 12 points against No. 17 Tennessee last Sunday after leading ETSU with 15 points in the season opener versus Appalachian State.
 
UP Next for the Spartans
Following its meeting with ETSU, Upstate continues its road trip next Tuesday at South Carolina State. The Spartans make the trip to Orangeburg, S.C. for a 7:00 p.m. tip-off with the Bulldogs.
