Series History
Wednesday's meeting between USC Upstate and Clemson marks just the second all-time meeting between the two programs since Upstate joined the Division I ranks prior to the 2007-08 season. The Tigers won the only meeting in the series, 78-65, on December 15, 2009. In the game, Chelsea McMillan headlined a group of three Spartans in double-figures, posting a double-double with 20 points and 16 rebounds.

Players to Watch
Upstate: Returning after leading the Spartans in nine statistical categories a season ago, including scoring, averaging 12.5 points per game, senior guard
Denijsha Wilson is one of five key veterans on a very young Upstate squad. In addition to leading the team in scoring, she also paced the squad in assists (54) and steals (28) while playing a team-high 31.5 minutes per game.

Clemson: Averaging 16.4 points per game last season—the highest scoring average for a Tiger since 2003-04—Delicia Washington represents Clemson's top returner. The preseason All-ACC pick also led the Tigers in assists (88) and minutes per game (27.2) while finishing second on the team in rebounding (6.0).

UP Next for the Spartans
After opening the season Wednesday at Clemson, Upstate sees nearly a week break before returning to the court, returning next Tuesday at South Carolina State. The Spartans and Bulldogs tangle in Orangeburg on November 16 at 7 p.m. ET.
