Series History
Monday's game between USC Upstate and Jacksonville marks a furthered renewal of a series between two former conference foes. The Spartans and Dolphins each season from 2007-08 to 2017-18 when Upstate was a member of the ASUN while also meeting once during the 2019-20 season. Overall, Jacksonville leads the series 14-9, winning each of the past eight meetings with Upstate's last victory coming on February 14, 2015.

Players to Watch
Upstate: Tying for the team lead in scoring against Western Carolina and UNCG with a combined 32 points across the two games, freshman guard Rachael Rose garnered Big South Freshman of the Week honors on December 6. Her honor makes her the first Spartan to claim multiple Big South weekly award wins since Upstate joined the Big South ahead of the 2018-19 season as she also claimed the award on November 22.
 
Jacksonville: Scoring in double-figures in back-to-back games last week, forward Shynia Jackson has taken over as Jacksonville's leading scorer, averaging a shade under 10 points per game this season. Against Warner (Fla.) last Wednesday, Jackson led the Dolphins with a season-high 19 points as the game marked one of five double-figure scoring games this season for the ETSU transfer.
