Thursday's meeting between USC Upstate and Bob Jones is the sixth in a series that began during the 2015-16 season, meeting in each season between 2015-16 and 2019-20. The Spartans have taken each of the five previous meetings in the series, winning the last meeting in the series 71-49 on December 19, 2019.

Players to Watch
Upstate: Averaging 20.0 points and 5.8 rebounds per game while shooting 70 percent from the field over her last four games, redshirt sophomore guard Chellia Watson has been a major catalyst in Upstate's four-game winning streak. She's tallied 15 or more points in each of the four wins in the stretch, leading the Spartans in scoring on three occasions as she paces a trio of players with a double-figure scoring average this season, averaging 14.9 points per game. She also enters Thursday's game ranked second in the Big South in field goal percentage, shooting 53.1 percent from the floor this season.
 
Bob Jones: Scoring 13 or more points in each of her team's 12 games this season, including a season-high 29 points last time out against Johnson & Wales, forward Delaney Edwards enters Thursday's game averaging 18.3 points per game. Leading the Bruins in scoring, she also pulls in a team-best 6.4 rebounds per game.

Closing a three-game homestand Thursday night, Upstate embarks on a three-game road swing, beginning this weekend in the Bluegrass State. The Spartans travel to Morehead State Saturday for a 2 p.m. ET tip before heading to Kentucky Sunday for another 2 p.m. tip-off.
