SPARTANBURG, SC—USC Upstate women's soccer lost to Radford University 6-0 on Wednesday night when hosted by the Highlanders at Patrick D. Cupp Memorial Stadium.
At 8:23 in the match, Gabi Paupst took the first shot for the Highlanders, which resulted in the first goal of the game. Soon after, Spartans'
Jane Bossler (Reading, Penn) attempted a shot that was out right. Nearly eight minutes later, Radford attempted its third shot, but it was saved by Spartans' goalie Haylie Grudzien (York, SC). Briana Oliver made the next two goals by the Highlanders before halftime, leaving Radford up 3-0.
Radford's Oliver made the first goal of the second half for the Highlanders, while the Spartans struggled to get off a shot. The Highlanders scored two more goals before the end of the game, one each from Skyler Prosser and Maevyn Jones.

Ellie Arnold (London, England) who took the only two shots for the Spartans in the second half, one of them being on goal.

Upstate was outshot 3-26 overall and 13-1 on goal.
Spartans' goalies finished with 7 saves.
Upstate attempted no corner kicks in the game.
No penalties were given during the contest.
