EDISTO ISLAND, S.C. – Heading to the South Carolina Lowcountry for the second time this season, USC Upstate women's golf saw each member of its team lineup climb up the leaderboard as play concluded Tuesday at the Edisto Island Invitational.
Over the three days of play on the Plantation Course at Edisto, each member of the Spartan lineup jumped multiple spots on the leaderboard from the first round to the final round with a pair of Spartans, redshirt senior
Beem Pabsimma and redshirt junior
Preaw Nontarux, jumping up 20 or more spots, shooting up 26 and 20 spots, respectively.
Climbing 20 spots throughout the event, Nontarux secured her sixth straight top-25 finish, coming in tied for 24
th on the final leaderboard. After opening the Edisto Island Invitational with a 78, she came back and carded 73 and 72 in the final two rounds to fashion a 54-hole total of 223.
Tying for 35
th, junior
Suwarin Yord-in wrote in marks of 79-70-78-227, ranking as the second-highest Spartan on the leaderboard. Her second-round 70 was the lone round under par for an Upstate golfer at the event, representing Yord-in's first round under par this season. Rounding out the top-three finisher for Upstate was redshirt junior
Beem Pabsimma who turned in scores of 85-71-74-230, tying for 45
th.
Making her Upstate and collegiate debut this week, freshman
Eliza Whitesides fashioned scores of 89-79-83-251 to finish 73
rd while also making her Upstate debut, sophomore
Grace Garner carded marks of 93-89-81-263, finishing 78
th.

Notable
- Helping her move up 13 total spots on the leaderboard throughout the event, Suwarin Yord-in tied for 10th in the Edisto Island Invitational field in Par-3 scoring, coming in at even par on the Plantation Course at Edisto's four Par-3s.
- Yord-in also posted the Spartans' lone eagle and one of seven eagles in the tournament as she carded her eagle on the Par-5, 438-yard 10th hole.
- A big piece of moving up 26 total spots on the leaderboard at the Edisto Island Invitational, Beem Pabsimma tied for sixth in the event field in total pars, turning in 37 across 54 holes of action.
