LOUISVILLE, K.Y. – USC Upstate cross country performed well at the NCAA Division I Southeast Regionals with the men finishing in the top 25 for the second year in a row and both women finishing with new personal bests.Â
Finishing 24th overall, the men's team recorded Upstate's fourth-highest finish at the NCAA Southeast Regional in program history. This is the second straight year USC Upstate has had a team finish in the top 25 regionals, including last year when they finished 23rd. Â
Noah White led the Spartans for the sixth straight race and came in at 102nd which is the highest finish for a Spartan since Dorian Jones (97th) in 2017. Every Spartan that competed for the men today finished within the top 200, which is the second time in program history since 2016 that feat has been accomplished at the NCAA Southeast Regionals. Â
Head coach Carson Blackwelder thought the men performed well as a collective saying, "The men ran great, moving up the second half of the race. It was good to see their strength and fitness pay off the second half of the race."Â
