Series History
For the third time this season, USC Upstate will face an opponent it has never faced in the program's Division I era (2007-pres.) as Columbia International heads to the G.B. Hodge Center Wednesday night. The Rams join Duke and Air Force as newcomers to the Spartans' schedule during the 2022-23 season—Florida State represents the final new opponent for the Spartans this season.

Players to Watch
Upstate: Scoring in double-figures in two of his last three games, redshirt junior forward Ahmir Langlais is establishing himself as a scorer in the paint for the Spartans. Over his last three games, he's averaged 11.7 points and 6.3 rebounds per game and posted a double-double behind a career-high 18 points and career-best 11 boards versus Coastal Carolina. Langlais enters Wednesday's game averaging 8.5 points per game and leads Upstate in rebounding at 5.7 rebounds per game.
 
Columbia International: On the season, senior guard Skyler McKinney leads the Rams in scoring, averaging 15.9 points per contest as he's scored in double-figures in all eight games with four games of 15 or more points and two games of 20 or more points. He also ranks second for Columbia International in rebounding at 6.4 rebounds per game, posting a pair of double-doubles this year.

Following Wednesday night's home game, Upstate is back on the road Saturday with a trip up the mountains to Western Carolina. The Spartans and Catamounts tip off at 5:30 p.m. ET Saturday from Cullowhee, N.C.
