Series History
USC Upstate and Morehead State have met three times with the Spartans emerging victorious in every meeting. The series began back in December of 2014 when the Spartans downed the Eagles 75-69 in the G.B. Hodge Center. Most recently, USC Upstate walked away victorious as the Spartans departed from Kentucky with a 66-52 win in their bag.
The Spartans and the Cavaliers of Montreat only had one prior meeting which was in November of 2008 when Upstate won 93-52 at home.

Players to Watch
Upstate: Trinity Johnson posted her first minutes back from an injury as she scored nine points, had one steal, one assist, and two rebounds in her 19 minutes of play against Old Dominion. Rebekah Gordon also posted nine points against the Monarchs along with a team high six rebounds and one steal.
Isabella Geraci has started all seven games for the Spartans alongside Talia Roldan, Cali Levine, and AC Markham. Nyla Walker has started six of the seven games so far this season. Geraci leads Upstate with 67 points, averaging 9.6 points per game; she also leads Upstate with 45 total rebounds, averaging 6.4 rebounds a game.
Morehead: In their 63-59 win over Bellarmine, Veronia Charles led the Eagles and recorded a double-double with 18 points, 12 rebounds, three assists, and four steals. This was Charles sixth game in double-figures and her second double-double of the season. Sophie Benharouga was just behind Charles in points with 13, along with three rebounds, two assists, and one block.
Montreat (as of 12/09/22): Mariya Williams helped lead Montreat to its eighth overall win as she had a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds against Truett-McConnell. This was McConnell's sixth time earning a double-double this season. Adrianna Gullete (17) and Makayla Thompson (10) both scored in double figures as well for the Cavaliers.
