Series History
USC Upstate and UNC Asheville are meeting for the 18th time in the Spartans' Division I era (2007-pres.). Meeting each year since Upstate moved to D1, except during the 2008-09 season, the Bulldogs lead the series 9-8 after the Spartans took the season's earlier meeting 66-53 on January 1. The win improved Upstate's win streak in the series to three as Upstate also took both meetings last season.

Players to Watch
Upstate: Leading Upstate to its 20^th victory of the season, freshman guard Rachael Rose dropped a career-best 29 points in an 80-67 victory over Presbyterian Tuesday. She finished the game shooting 9-of-13 from the field, 2-of-3 from three, and 9-of-10 from the free throw line while adding six assists and two rebounds. The game marked the third 20-plus point scoring outing of her career.
 
Asheville: Entering Saturday's game, guard Nadiria Evans represents UNC Asheville's leading scorer, averaging 19.3 points per game this season. Through Big South play, she's scored in double-figures in 12 of the 13 games she's appeared, including a team-high 16 points against Radford Tuesday night.
