Series History
Entering the weekend's OneSpartanburg, Inc. Baseball Classic, USC Upstate is facing three familiar foes in the season's iteration of the event. The Spartans met Manhattan for a single game during the 2020 season as Upstate produced a 7-1 win. Upstate dropped its lone meeting with Boston College in 2015 and holds a 2-2 record against George Mason, last meeting the Patriots in 2016. In the three series, each of the six combined games has each been played in Spartanburg.

Players to Watch
Upstate: Delivering a pair of runs batted in Wednesday night in a late-inning victory over Western Carolina, redshirt sophomore
Noah Rabon collected his third multi-RBI game of the season, tying for the team lead in the category. He's driven home two or more runs in three straight games, tallying seven total on the season while hitting .389 (6-of-17) with three doubles.
Â
Manhattan: Following a multi-team event in Deland, Fla., Jaspers' shortstop David Bermudez leads Manhattan in slugging (.636) and OPS (1.174) after going 5-for-11 (.455) against No. 4 Notre Dame, Delaware, and Stetson. Of his five hits, two went for extra bases—both doubles—as he is tied for the team-lead in RBI with three.
Â
Boston College: First baseman Joe Vetrano exited the Eagles' series with Austin Peay as the team's leading hitter, leading in batting average (.454; 6-of-11) and on-base percentage (.667) while ranking third in slugging percentage (.909). In addition to his weekend at the plate, Vetrano also appeared twice on the mound for the Eagles.
Â
George Mason: Starting all four games behind the dish for the Patriots, Connor Dykstra leads all George Mason regulars in batting average and slugging, posting a .455 average (5-of-11) while slugging 1.091. Of his five hits, he's slugged two homers and driven in a team-best five RBI while totaling 12 bases through four games.
