NEW ORLEANS, La. – The All-Academic Teams for the 2021 NCAA Division I Cross Country season were announced in late January by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) and USC Upstate's men's and women's cross country programs each earned All-Academic honors.Â
In order to qualify for All-Academic honors, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period. The men's team accomplished a 3.402 GPA while the women's team produced a 3.25 GPA. Â
"I'm proud of how our runners can focus in the classroom and juggle all the other aspects of their lives," said head coach Carson Blackwelder.
Â
Overall there were 150 men's and 168 women's Division I programs who were named to the All-Academic Teams for their efforts during the 2021 season. Â
