Upstate holds a 15-13 advantage in a series that has seen the two programs matchup up each year since 2008, except for 2012 and 2020 (Covid-19 shortened season). The Spartans enter Friday's game on a five-game winning streak in the series, sweeping all five games with the Blue Hose last season.

Pitcher: Earning the victory in Upstate's win Monday over Cincinnati, sophomore right-hander
Trey Miller posted his longest career outing (5.2 IP) to earn his first victory of the season. Over his 5.2 innings of work, he scattered five hits and three runs (one earned) while striking out a career-best five hitters, posting his second outing of the season with four or more punchouts.

Position Player: Despite seeing his team-best 15 game hitting streak and 16 game reached base streak snapped earlier this week, redshirt sophomore leftfielder
Noah Rabon enters this weekend's series leading the Spartans in batting average (.375), hits (24), and total bases (33). He has also been one of the top run producers for Upstate this season, driving in 18 runs while scoring 17 more through 17 games this season.

Presbyterian:
Pitcher: Leading the Blue Hose in ERA (1.61) this season, righty Duncan Howard has established himself in Presbyterian's starting rotation this season. Over his past three starts, he's spun 6.0 or more innings of work, allowing just three earned runs over 19.1 innings in those starts while striking out 21.

Position Player: Outfielder Jay Wetherington enters the weekend's series as the Big South's leader in batting average, hitting .417 through 17 games this season. He carries a team-best 14 game hitting streak into the weekend as he ranks second on the Blue Hose club in total hits with 20, posting a team-best six multi-hit games.
