Series History
Meeting for a three-game series on the second weekend of Big South Conference play, USC Upstate and Radford are meeting for the 12
th, 13
th, and 14
th times in the Spartans' Division I era (2007-pres.). The series featured a pair of games during the 2016 season before the two programs met for a three-game series in 2019 and a pair of three-game sets in 2021. Overall, the Spartans lead the series 7-4 after taking five of the six games between the two teams last season.

USC Upstate:
Pitcher: Closing out games one and two of last weekend's series at Presbyterian, senior right-hander
Kevin Davis picked up his league-leading third and fourth saves of the 2022 season. He enters the weekend ranked 21
st in the NCAA in total saves, collecting four over 13.2 innings of work on the year. Davis also carries a 13.17 strikeouts per nine innings total into the weekend, ranking second among Spartan relievers with multiple appearances, striking out 20 batters this season.

Position Player: Appearing as Upstate's designated hitter in all 21 games this season, freshman
Noah Sullivan enters the Radford series tied for the team lead in batting average, hitting .333 (26-for-78) with five extra-base hits. He ranks second in the NCAA in hit-by-pitch, being plunked 12 times this season while also leading Upstate and the Big South in sacrifice flies with three. Sullivan has posted a team-best 10 multi-hit efforts this season, including a four-hit effort versus Xavier on March 4, while also contributing five multi-RBI games.

Radford:
Pitcher: Making 12 appearances on the season, left-hander Derek Domecq enters the weekend leading the Big South in pitching appearances. He carries a 1-2 record and 1.88 earned run average into the Upstate series, pitching 14.1 innings on the year while holding opponents to a .283 batting average. He appeared in two games for the Highlanders last weekend against Charleston Southern.

Position Player: Hitting a robust .391 through 20 games this season, going 27-for-69 at the plate, second baseman Ty Dooley leads Radford and the Big South in batting average into the weekend's series. He leads the Highlanders with 15 RBI, six steals, and three sacrifice hits this season while leading the club in both multi-hit games (eight) and multi-RBI games (four).
