Last Time Out
USC Upstate: vs. Gardner-Webb (W, 12-5)
North Carolina A&T: vs. UNCG (L, 13-1)

Players to Watch
USC Upstate:
Pitcher: Last Friday against Charleston Southern, senior right-hander Jacob Curry put forth a Greg Maddux-esque effort as he tossed his first career complete game on just 94 pitches. He faced just two batters over the minimum as he allowed just six baserunners with just one runner advancing into scoring position while he tied a career-high with six strikeouts. For his efforts, Curry earned Big South Starting Pitcher of the Week honors.

Position Player: Behind two homers and six RBI, freshman designated hitter Noah Sullivan put forth a career night at Gardner-Webb Wednesday night. He extended his team-long reached base streak to 22 games with a first inning home run while he collected his team-leading 19th multi-hit game and seventh multi-RBI game. He enters the weekend leading Upstate in average at .354 with a team-high 52 hits over 147 at-bats.

North Carolina A&T:
Pitcher: Getting the ball in game two for the Aggies, right-hander Jake Delisi will make his second start of the season after taking the ball in the midweek against UNCG. He enters the weekend leading North Carolina A&T in earned run average, posting a 3.38 ERA over 16 total appearances. A transfer from King University, Delisi tossed 2.0 innings while surrendering four runs against UNCG Tuesday.

Position Player: Entering the weekend series, shortstop Anthony Hennings leads the Big South in batting average, hitting .383 (51-for-133) on the year. His 51 hits rank second in the conference, trailing only Sullivan's 52 while Hennings has tallied 11 extra-base hits, including a team-high 11 doubles. He's riding an 11-game hitting streak following a 3-for-5 evening Tuesday against UNCG.

UP Next for the Spartans
Following a three-game set against North Carolina A&T, Upstate has no midweek contest next week due to exam week. The Spartans return on April 29 in a split, non-conference series with Gardner-Webb with game one in Boiling Springs on Friday before heading to Cleveland S. Harley Park Saturday for a doubleheader.
