SPARTANBURG, S.C. - After announcing its Big South Conference game lineup, USC Upstate's women's basketball team officially announced it full 2022-2023 game schedule on Monday afternoon. The schedule includes one exhibition game, 11 regular season games, and 18 conference match ups. Upstate will host a total of 16 games in the G.B. Hodge Center while hitting the road for 14 away games.
The season will start with an exhibition game at home on Thurs., November 3rd against Columbia College.
Following the lone exhibition game, Upstate will again serve as host to take on Southern Wesleyan University on Mon., November 7th.
The Spartans will then hit the road for the first time in the 2022-2023 season to play West Virginia in Morgantown on Thurs., November 10th and remain on the road to play Virginia Tech in Blacksburg on Mon., November 14th.
That same week Upstate will return to G.B. Hodge to take on Western Carolina on Fri., November 18th.
Upstate will take some time to rest before loading up the bus again to play UNCG Wed., November 23 in Greensboro and to play Vanderbilt University Tues., November 29th in Nashville.
After getting back to Spartanburg, the Spartans will host Old Dominion University on Sat., December 3rd. Upstate will have a busy week with two home games against Morehead State on Mon., December 12th, and Montreat College on Wed., December 14th, followed by a road game against UNC on Fri., December 16th.
The regular season will wrap up with a home match against Queens University on Tues., December 20th.
Big South Conference play will commence starting with an away game at Winthrop (12/29) followed by two away matches, one with Charleston Southern (12/31) and one with Radford University (1/4). The Spartans then leave G.B. Hodge Center to play High Point University (1/7) and Campbell University (1/11). Upstate returns to Spartanburg briefly to play Longwood University (1/14) before leaving to play Presbyterian College (1/18). The first half of conference play will finish at Upstate with visitors UNC Asheville (1/21) and Gardner-Webb (1/25).
The second half of the conference schedule will begin with a trip to Radford (1/28) before Upstate hosts Campbell (2/1). Upstate will then have a pair of road games with UNC Asheville (2/4) and Charleston Southern University (2/8). The Spartans will come home to play Winthrop (2/11) and then venture out to play Longwood (2/15). G.B. Hodge Center will be home for the final time for two more home games against High Point (2/18) and Presbyterian (2/22). Upstate will close out the season at Gardner-Webb (2/25).
The Big South Women's Basketball Tournament will take place at Bojangles' Coliseum in Charlotte, N.C., with the first round of games set for March 1st- 2nd.
