PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. – Riding a wave of momentum from a successful and historic 2021-22 season, USC Upstate women's golf kept the momentum rolling as the Spartans wrapped up one of the most successful events in program history as the Golfweek Fall Challenge drew to a close Tuesday afternoon.
Overall, four school records fell at the event, including the lowest 54-hole team total (871), the lowest 54-hole individual total (
Preaw Nontarux; 207), the lowest individual round (Nontarux; 64), and the lowest individual round relative to par (Nontarux; -7). Adding to her three school records, Nontarux earned All-Tournament Team honors, tying for fourth behind marks of 64-71-72-207—her fourth top-10 finish in a Golfweek event at Caledonia Golf & Fish Club and third straight top-five finishes.
Joining Nontarux with a top-10 lowest individual 54-hole total in program history, redshirt senior
Beem Pabsimma's total of 214 (73-73-68) tied for the sixth-lowest 54-hole total in school history. The Golfweek Fall Challenge also marks the first event in school history to feature two Spartans card 54-hole totals of 214 or better.
Adding to the list of Spartans with career-best rounds and events, redshirt junior
Ashley Looper used a final-round 70—her lowest career round—to post her career-low 54-hole total of 226.
As a team, Upstate wrote in scores of 288-294-289-871, claiming an eighth-place finish. The team's opening-round 288 and final-round 289 tie for the fourth and ninth-lowest 18-hole team totals, respectively, in program history. The Golfweek Fall Challenge also marks the first event in school history to feature two sub-290 team rounds.

- Leading to her multiple school records, Preaw Nontarux finished top-10 in the Golfweek Fall Challenge field in Par-4 Scoring (t-4th), Par-5 Scoring (t-8th), and total birdies (t-7th).
- Joining Nontarux, Beem Pabsimma and Ashley Looper also finished in the top 10 at the event in Par-5 Scoring. Pabsimma led the field at seven-under-par on Par-5s with Looper finishing tied for fifth at five-under.
- Adding another top-10 finish in a statistical category, Pabsimma tied for 10th in the tournament field in total pars, carding 37 over three rounds.
