RADFORD, VA. -- The Spartans are headed home after falling on the road to the Radford Highlanders.
The home team opened up the scoring with a goal in the third minute. Neither team found the back of the net again until the Highlanders doubled up their lead in the 51st minute.
Statistically speaking, the Spartans controlled the pace of play in the second half, rattling off 11 shots, six of which were on goal. Throughout the match, the Spartans held an edge in corner kicks as well, taking eight total to Radford's two.
Freshman Max Edwards would have an efficient night out, taking three shots and putting all of them on net. Jeremy Montero would record the same number of shots as well, putting one on goal.
