Players to Watch
USC Upstate: Sliding back into the libero spot last weekend, junior libero Julia Gladhill captured her second career Big South Libero of the Week honor as her 6.29 digs per set average led the league. She tallied 44 total digs on the weekend, beginning with 16 against Winthrop before scooping up a season-high 28 digs versus Gardner-Webb with the match marking the highest single-match dig total of the week in the Big South. She enters the new week with 13 total double-digit dig matches, including two with 20 or more digs, as she ranks third in the conference in digs per set (3.93 per set).
 
Radford: Registering 22 kills behind a .280 hitting efficiency, junior middle blocker Sophie Paspal led Radford's offense a week ago, garnering nomination for Big South Player of the Week honors. She recorded double-figure kills in both of her matches last weekend and has recorded double-digit kills in three straight matches. She leads the Highlanders in kills per set this season, averaging 2.32 per set while also leading the team with 0.71 blocks per set.
 
High Point: Fashioning a .436 hitting percentage over three matches last week and accruing 22 total kills (2.20 per set) and 14 total blocks (1.40 per set), redshirt freshman middle blocker BayLea Sparks earned Big South Freshman of the Week honors. She finished her week with a career-best 10 kills against Charleston Southern to give her the first double-digit kill match of her career. She begins the weekend ranked second in the Big South in blocks per set, averaging 1.11 per set this season.

UP Next for the Spartans
As the rematch portion of the team's Big South schedule has begun, Upstate faces its first road trip in the back half of the league schedule as the team travels to Presbyterian and Charleston Southern. The Spartans visit the Blue Hose Friday (6 p.m. ET) before trekking to Charleston Southern Saturday (4 p.m.).
