Men's Basketball Returns to the Hodge Post-Holiday, Hosting Voorhees Saturday Afternoon

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Coming off the team's three-game, pre-holiday road swing, USC Upstate men's basketball returns to the G.B. Hodge Center for the second time this season, returning home to host Voorhees Saturday afternoon. The Tigers are the fourth first-time opponent to permeate the Spartans' schedule and the second to play at the Hodge this season.

USC Upstate: Recording his fifth double-figure scoring game of the season—through six games—with 13 points at Ball State, sophomore guard Justin Bailey ensured that each of his double-figure scoring games have seen him post 13 or more points in each game. He enters the weekend ranked second on the team in scoring average, averaging 13.7 points per game this season while shooting 38.8 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from beyond the arc. Defensively, Bailey leads Upstate in steals, swiping 11 through six games as his 1.83 steals per game average ranks third in the Big South.
 
Voorhees: Averaging 20.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game, senior guard Tyler Willoughby marks the Tigers' leading scorer and rebounder this season. He's recorded one double-double on the season, doing so with 18 points and 13 rebounds, while he's also scored 20 or more points on four occasions. His best game of the year came in his first, scoring 34 points behind 14-of-19 shooting against Carolina University.

Gameday Parking
Fans attending USC Upstate basketball games in the coming weeks will notice a change in parking options. Parking for the general public will only be available in front of the Hodge Center as the rows adjacent to the building on the University Way side are closed due to renovation work to the Hodge Center roof. VIP parking for donors entering the Champions Suite behind the Arena is unaffected. Parking is free for all USC Upstate basketball games and the closure of the side lots around the building will be in effect indefinitely.
