MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. – Competing in the Lowcountry—a region that has brought a great deal of success to the program—and riding the momentum of the start of its spring schedule, USC Upstate women's golf navigated a tournament field that featured 11 teams ranked in the top-150 of the GolfStat Rankings to earn another top-five finish, the team's third of the year, at the Rivertowne Invitational.
Earning a fifth-place finish, the Spartans finished ahead of seven teams ranked ahead of them in the GolfStat rankings, including two featuring in the top 100. Upstate fashioned its seventh and eighth sub-300 rounds of the year during the Rivertowne Invitational, turning in scores of 293-301-294-888. The team's 54-hole total of 888 marks the second lowest of the season with both the team's lowest totals of the year coming in the Lowcountry with the 888 tying for the eighth-lowest total in program history.
Leading the way to their finish, the Spartans saw three players claim top-25 placements on the final leaderboard led by a top-10 finish from redshirt senior
Beem Pabsimma (73-72-72-217). She was joined by junior
Suwarin Yord-in (71-74-73-218) and redshirt junior
Preaw Nontarux (73-76-72-221) who tied for 13
th and 22
nd, respectively.
Rounding out the lineup for Upstate, sophomore
Elin Wahlgren and freshman
Eliza Whiteside each marked in season-low 54-hole and 18-hole totals. Wahlgren carded marks of 83-79-77-239 with her 54-hole total representing the second lowest of her career while Whiteside posted totals of 76-90-80-246 with her opening-round 76 and 54-hole total 246 marking career lows.

- As a team, Upstate tied for third in the Rivertowne Invitational field in Par-3 Scoring (3.22; +13) with Suwarin Yord-in tying for second in the category (2.92; -1).
- The Spartans also tied for third in the event in total pars, carding 168 as a team. Yord-in and Beem Pabsimma each tied for 5th in the field in the category, carding 39 pars apiece.
