Series History
Meeting in the final midweek of the season, USC Upstate and Clemson meet for the ninth time in the Spartans' Division I era (2007-pres.) Tuesday. The Spartans took the previous meeting between the two squads with a 6-3 win at Fluor Field on Feb. 28. The victory marked the second for Upstate in the series, with Clemson holding a 6-2 lead in the series.

Players to Watch
Upstate: Extending his hitting streak to 16 games with a two-run bomb Sunday, sophomore catcher Jace Rinehart holds the longest active hitting streak in the Big South. His two-run homer in game three against Charleston Southern gives him a home run in four of his last five games as he's hit seven long balls this season, ranking third among Spartans this season. In 34 games of action in 2023, he posts a slash line of .337/.435/.621 while driving home 26 runs.
 
Clemson: Hitting .550 with two home runs, four doubles, nine RBI, and eight runs scored last week against Coastal Carolina and Virginia Tech, designated hitter Billy Amick garnered Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Week accolades. He enters the midweek holding a .413 batting average with 13 doubles, 10 homers, and 41 RBI over 35 games for the Tigers.
 
Up Next for the Spartans
Off the team's final midweek game of the season, the Spartans host the season's final Big South Conference series, playing for a chance to win a regular season championship. Upstate hosts Campbell in a three-game set beginning Thursday with the series pitting the top two teams in the league standings.
