Liam Duggan Earns First Career Goal as a Spartan Against High Point

Spartanburg, S.C. – The Spartans returned to County University Soccer Stadium for their third conference match of the season, facing High Point University. Despite taking an early 1-0 lead, the Spartans would fall short against the Panthers 4-1.

Upstate struck first in the seventh minute of play, with Liam Duggan netting his first career goal as a Spartan off a dime from Peyton Pressley.  The Spartans backline remained strong, not allowing High Point to find the back of the net until the 24th minute. Duggan led Upstate in shots with a season-high of three. Dario Stadler put up two shots, both being on goal. Carson Hickok, Ezra Hoffman, and Adrian Panaite each finished the night with one shot. Returning in goal for the Spartans was Cooper Jennings, who made four saves on the night.
