SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Beginning a three-game road trip west of the Mississippi, USC Upstate women's basketball opens its expedition with a pair of matchups against ranked opponents—the first time in the program's Division I era (2007-pres.) with consecutive games against ranked foes—travelling to No. 20 Iowa State and No. 13 Kansas State, Tuesday and Thursday, respectively.

Players to Watch
USC Upstate: The lone Spartan to score in double-figures in all three contests last week, redshirt freshman guard
Cassie Gallagher captured her second career Big South Freshman of the Week honors after averaging 13.0 points per game. She twice offered career-high scoring totals, culminating in a career-best 14 points versus Bellarmine Saturday. On the season, she averages 9.7 points and 3.4 rebounds per game while knocking down a team-high 16 three-pointers.
Iowa State: Ranked 18
th in the NCAA in scoring, sophomore forward Audi Crooks enters the new week averaging 20.5 points per game. In 41 career games, she's scored in double-figures in 40 consecutive games, including all eight games in 2024-25. She's scored 20-plus points in four of the past five games, including a season-high 33 points versus Drake on Nov. 24.
Kansas State: Heading the nation's second-best offense in regards to assists per game and assist-to-turnover ratio, the Wildcats feature a pair of guards passing out 40-plus assists. Senior guard Serena Sundell totals 45 assists and sophomore guard Zyanna Walker tallies 43 helpers as the guards rank eighth and ninth, respectively, in the Big 12 in the category. Walker sports an assist-to-turnover ratio of 3.07 and Sundell an assist-to-turnover ratio of 2.81 on the year.
Up Next for the Spartans
Concluding the team's three-game slate west of the Mississippi River, USC Upstate heads back to Iowa following a week-and-a-half break from competition. The Spartans head to Drake on Dec. 16 for the team's first-ever meeting with the Bulldogs.
