SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Despite falling in its first Big South Semifinal appearance, the USC Upstate women's basketball program earned it an automatic bid in the WNIT after its solid 2023-2024 season and is set to host the College of Charleston Cougars on Thursday night.

USC Upstate: - USC Upstate entered the Big South Tournament as the No. 2 seed and reached the semifinal round for the very first time after downing No. 7 Longwood 60-37. In the Spartans' first ever Big South Semifinal round, Trinity Johnson displayed a strong performance with 16 points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Isabell West also had a strong final showing of the Big South Tournament with 13 points, three rebounds, and two steals. Johnson leads the Spartans stat lines with 314 points, averaging 10.5 points per game, 145 assists, 64 steals, and four blocks. West is just behind her with 319 points, averaging 10.3 points per game, 25 assists, 28 steals, and 20 blocks.
College of Charleston: College of Charleston finished its regular season 20-9 and entered the CAA Women's Basketball Championship as the No. 3 seed but ultimately fell in the quarterfinal round to No. 6 Towson. The Cougars were led in their most recent contest against the Tigers by Jada Logan, who had 24 points, five rebounds, and three steals. College of Charleston is led by Taryn Barbot with 442 points, averaging 14.7 points per game, 186 rebounds, 56 assists, 64 steals, and four blocks.
