USC Lancaster: USC Lancaster will compete in their first contest of the season on Wednesday after finishing last season 12-9-2 overall and 10-3-2 in conference play. Wesley Mendoza, Sam Macy, and Zac Birch all return for the Lancers, each being key factors for offense. Losing starting goalkeeper Beckham Boomershine, Connor Allen returns for the Lancers who finished the season with a .750 save percentage.
UP Next for the Spartans
Upstate will remain home, hosting Queens University of Charlotte for the final exhibition match of the season. The Spartans will officially open the season with a road match at UNC Greensboro on August 22.
