Spartanburg, S.C. – Upstate men's soccer played the second home match of the season, facing the College of Charleston. This match went in favor of the Cougars with a final score of 5-1.
The first shot for the Spartans came from Adrian Paniate with just one minute left of play in the first half. Upstate continued to compete with the Cougars, but it wasn't until the 82
nd minute that
Luke Halkett found the back of the net. This marked Halkett's first goal of the season.
Carlos Lopez earned his first assist in a Spartans uniform.
Gabe Conlin was the only other Spartan to take a shot in tonight's match.
Cooper Jennings faced a season-high of 20 shots. Jennings recorded nine saves on the night, making this his fourth career game with nine or more saves.
