Players to Watch
USC Upstate: Captaining the Big South's leading floor defense, senior libero Julia Gladhill ranks 17^th in the NCAA in total digs, keeping up 120 balls this season. She averages 4.14 digs per set as her leadership has helped Upstate to 16.76 digs per set, which ranks 33^rd in the NCAA. She also paces the league in service aces, landing 11 winners from the service line this season, climbing the program's Division I era (2007-pres.) career leaderboard in the category.
 
William & Mary: A returning Second Team All-CAA selection, junior middle blocker Olivia Esposito runs the net for the top blocking team in the Coastal Athletic Association, stuffing 36 blocks on the year. She ranks 13^th in the country with her 36 total blocks, recording six or more total blocks in five of her six matches this season, including a season-best 10 versus Quinnipiac last weekend. Offensively, she's added 33 kills behind a .382 hitting percentage.
 
Queens: Coming off consecutive matches of 19-plus kills, senior right-side hitter Alleigh Johnson leads the Royals with a team-best 74 kills, reaching double-figures in four matches this season. She finished the Wofford Invitational with 19 and 20 kills, respectively, against Presbyterian and Campbell with the latter total coming with a .311 hitting efficiency.
 
Davidson: Entering the weekend, junior libero Jordan Hummel ranks second and third in the A-10 in digs per set and total digs, respectively, leading the Wildcats floor defense. She's picked up 98 total balls this season, averaging 4.45 digs per set while scooping up 10 or more balls in five matches, reaching 20-plus digs in two matches. She also paces Davidson in service, landing 11 service aces.
 
Up Next for the Spartans
Closing out the non-conference tournament portion of the team's schedule, USC Upstate returns from the Queen City to the friendly confines of the G.B. Hodge Center to host the Spartan Classic. The Spartans welcome West Georgia (Sep. 19 at 11 a.m. ET) and Idaho (Sep. 21 at 11 a.m) for a pair of matches.
