SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Continuing its stretch of games against SoCon opponents with the second of three consecutive contests against such foes, USC Upstate women's basketball returns to the G.B. Hodge Center to begin its longest homestand of the season Saturday afternoon. Engaging in a "Battle of the Spartans," Upstate hosts UNCG for a 4:30 p.m. ET tip, the seventh meeting between the Spartans in Upstate's Division I era (2007-pres.).

Players to Watch
USC Upstate: Playing 20-plus minutes in successive games for the first time in her career, redshirt sophomore forward Emma Blair notched her third straight game with eight or more markers, finishing with eight points Wednesday at Western Carolina. Over her past three contests, she shot 50.0 percent from the field (12-of-24) and corralled 13 rebounds. On the season, Blair shoots 47.9 percent from the field and averages 2.7 boards per game.
 
UNCG: The SoCon's leading scorer entering the weekend, graduate student guard Jeni Levine averages 14.9 points per game, scoring in double-figures in seven of eight contests this season. The USC Upstate transfer has dropped 18 points in each of her last two games, coming after a season-high 21 markers versus North Carolina on Nov. 23. Levine shoots 35.1 percent from the field and 27.7 percent from three entering Saturday's game.
