SPARTANBURG, S.C. – USC Upstate Athletics will once again take over the Fox Sports Spartanburg 98.3 FM airwaves on Wednesday, July 30, for the third annual Spartan Takeover Day. This mid-summer tradition gives fans a behind-the-scenes look and live updates from Upstate coaches, Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics Matt Martin, NASCAR Xfinity Series driver and Spartanburg native Jeremy Clements.
With live broadcasts scheduled from Sully's Steamers in the morning and Rockers Brewing Co. in the afternoon, the event continues to become a staple of Spartan Summers in the Spartanburg area. Fans are encouraged to come and meet the coaches during their allotted times.
"We are excited to partner once again with Fox Sports Spartanburg to talk about our athletics department," said Matt Martin, Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics. "Fans will have a chance to hear from our great head coaches and our honorary athletics department member, Jeremy Clements."
Martin will wrap up the day by discussing the department's continued growth, upcoming announcements, and major topics affecting the collegiate landscape, including Name, Image, & Likeness (NIL) and revenue sharing.
