Head Coach Todd Lawton Unveils the 2025-2026 Women's Golf Schedule

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Head Coach Todd Lawton has released the full 2025-2026 women's golf schedule. Featuring 12 tournaments, the Spartans begin play on Monday.

Head Coach Todd Lawton said, "So excited to get back to familiar events and add some new ones.  Competing at two ACC schools and being able to travel to Bermuda for the first time in program history are highlights for sure. Hosting at Fripp this fall is always a great way to end the first semester and will be a great tune-up for the Big South in the spring. We also play at Mission Inn, where there have been multiple NCAA Championships contested.  Our new team van will give us the opportunity to travel in style while allowing our players to get plenty of schoolwork done on the road.  So thankful for the support our program receives".

Upstate begins the season at the Tiger Classic, hosted by Clemson, on August 25th at the Walker Course.

Starting in September, the Spartans have two tournaments on deck, the first being the Golfweek Fall Challenge held September 7-9 at Caledonia Golf & Fish Club.

Traveling to North Carolina, Upstate will compete in the Elon Invitational September 15-16 at Alamance Country Club. Last season, the tournament was shortened to 36 holes due to weather, and the Spartans finished tied for ninth out of 14.

The only tournament in October is the Terrier Intercollegiate, hosted by Wofford College from the 13-14 at the Country Club of Spartanburg.

Wrapping up the fall season, the Spartans host the Fripp Island Intercollegiate November 1-3 at Ocean Creek Golf Course. Rylie Kosney led Upstate at this event last season, finishing tied for second with a total score of 225.

Kicking off the spring season, the team will start at the SeaBest Invitational, hosted by Jacksonville University from January 26-27, 2026. The Spartans posted a second-round season best 298 in the event during the 2025 season.

Upstate begins February at the Rivertowne Intercollegiate for the third consecutive year. It takes place February 16-17, with Charleston Southern as host.  In the spring 2025 season, Madison Dixon finished this tournament tied for eighth.

The Spartans travel to Florida for the El Campeón Invitational at Mission Inn Resort, hosted by Lehigh, February 23-24. The program last competed at Mission Inn in 2011.

For the third straight year, the Spartans will compete March 8-10 at the Low Country Intercollegiate. Hosted by Wofford College, the tournament takes place on Hilton Head Island at Moss Creek Golf Club.

At the end of March, the Spartans travel abroad to Southampton, Bermuda, for the first time in program history. The Bermuda Triangle Intercollegiate is held at Port Royal Golf Course and is hosted by Lehigh on March 30-31.

The last tournament of the regular season is the Carolina Cup, held on April 4th. The event is hosted by the University of North Carolina at the UNC Finley Golf Club.

The Big South Championship will be held on Fripp Island at Ocean Creek Golf Course, April 19-22.
